Can any one say (with first hand knowledge) that they work? I wouldn't mind getting some of these of a party in the new year.

They do tend to pull everyhing up and in so it compresses all your insides - blehh!

I bought a pair of these before xmas to suck in my post baby bulge :(. I think they did a quite a good job of smoothing it out!
  • The ones that go right under the bust look good.

    Which is best to get?

    Any tips?

First post on MSE so bear with me!

I've tried the Spanx Magic Knickers and the Marks and Spencer ulitmate control (or something - can't remember the exact name) ones that are like cycling shorts.

The M&S oneas are £20 so quite expensive but they are wonderful. They come up good and high so no awkward bulges over the top and finish really smoothly around the thighs so are imperceptible under clothes.

The Spanx ones are equally good shape control wise but I find them more restrictive and they press more than the M&S ones. Maybe the same size is cut smaller?

John Lewis had Spanx on at £18 but the mytights.com price is a bargain - I may have to stock up myself!
