Ice cream float ice-cream

does any clever person know where to get PROPER ice-cream for proper ice-cream floats? Not the mushy yellow kind out of the supermarket deep-freeze: I mean the super-smooth pure white stuff with tiny ice crystals that just gently fizzes in your cherryade instead of turning into a disgusting mush?

Wouldn't something like Haagen-Daaz (I never know how to spell that) or Ben and Jerry's do? That's not as 'fluffy' as the cheap stuff.

Each to their own. When I ask myself, 'What would Jesus do (in Scarborough)', the answer is head for the Harbour bar and a proper ice cream soda with quality cherryade. Aaah, God's own drink.

Waah. Really, no ideas anybody? A lot of the places that do good floats seem to be Italian - any Italian ice-cream companies? (With handy stockists).

How about Rossi ice cream? There are an Essex based firm but their ice cream is just how you describe.
