phone calls and debts

i keep getting the phone calls off the creditors asking for money, even though i have sent a pro rata payment (income/expenses/list creditors) to all my creditors so they can see what i have, anyway have just had capital one ring me, after telling them to read my account details she tries telling me to make the pro rata payment to stop the late payment fee, so i asked if there is anyway of getting the charges stopped and interest as no point in paying £6 a month if it doesnt even touch debt, she says thanks for taking the call and hangs up!
would i just be better to declare my self bankrupt and be done with it, cant see me ever being able to pay off the debts and they just getting bigger with the charges interest etc i just cant see it ever ending!
cccs wont let me do a dmp as i dont have enough income at end of month and it would take 34 years to pay off the debts! any ideas welcome!

I would suggest sending the creditors that are calling one of the following letters to request that all communication be in writing only.

Are you sending the pro rata payments right now? It's better to give a little rather than nothing.

How long have you been making the payments? After about a year, the original creditors usually pass these debts on or sell them to DCA's.

Have you requestedd copies of your customer credit agreement (CCA)? If they are unable to provide a copy within 12(+2) working days, the debt is in dispute and unenforcable until a copy is supplied.

And have you taken action to reclaim charges on any of these accounts (bank accounts, credit cards, catalogues and loans) ?

That might make a dent in your debt.

Do you have PPI on any of them?
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

I guess changing your phone number and going x directory costs money?

Also getting certain numbers barred from your phone?
  • Just change your telephone numbers, it is no big deal, mobile phone companies will do it almost instantly, it is so refreshing, clears out the rubbish from your life !!! phonecolic irrigation !!!
