Oops, pressed the thanks button by mistake

I would steer clear of any Company that charges you a fee - like these will. You don't have to do it yourself, contact CCCS or PayPlan, both of who can sort out a DMP for you (like Debt Fixers will) and won't charge you anything.

hi,thanks, have an appointment with cccs tomorrow.0

Although CCCS and Payplan do not charge you, the creditors themselves will pay an amount you have given them to the company that set it up, so in fact does not make you better off.0

Well, my wife and I are using Debt Fixers ourselves now. We're about to pay our third month's installment. The service has been brilliant and I'm really happy that Debt Fixers were able to get our charges and interest frozen. My wife had a look at other companies who don't charge a fee, but decided that this company was best (not sure why, but I trust her). If you are able to negotiate with the debtors by yourself, brilliant! Ours simply refused to help us until we got Debt Fixers to help us. It may well be the best decision we have ever made.
But, you know, time will tell.0 -

Not true.
100% of the money that you pay to your creditors via CCCS and Payplan go to paying off your debt. No charge is levied in any fashion.
This whole thread reeks of SPAM.0 -
I recently was foolish enough to get involved with this company, they do not explain every thing ,you have to ask. They tak e a payment then send you the contract, you have seven days to change your mind. YOU DO NOT GET ANYTHING PAID TOWARDS OUTSTANDING DEBTS UNTILL THEY HAVE RECEIVED 3 MONTHS payments. I have lost 120.00 because I cancelled. I decided to deal with the debts myself, I am just pleased I saw sence before being sucked in even more.
When I spoke to one of my debtors they had not heard anything from them, no deals made etc.
I feel sad that desperate people have to resort to this, find another way believe me they are trouble0 -

That is just blatant spam - the giveaway (apart from the over-the-top praise and superlatives - and why would a first post on a forum be dragging up an old thread to do that) was the mentioning the company's name three times. Lame. Very very lame.0 -
Yes, its my first post here. No, it's not spam. I am very happy with the service I've received from Debt Fixers, why would I not want to share it, particularly on a thread that seems to be preoccupied with trying to convince people NOT to use this service? Is it so hard to believe that my wife and I are actually being helped tremendously? We were paying over £600 to various debtors, we now pay £233 per month. We are finally able to breathe a sigh or relief and we can see the end to our debt troubles. I would like to share that with as many people as I can. That is just blatant spam - the giveaway (apart from the over-the-top praise and superlatives - and why would a first post on a forum be dragging up an old thread to do that) was the mentioning the company's name three times. That being said, I don't think there would be anything I could say now to convince you that its not spam. Call me lame if you like, but I would rather hope people would make up their own minds after seeing both arguements for and against paying a company to help them. For people to be able to make such a choice, both arguements must be presented. I was simply providing balance based on my good experience with Debt Fixers.
Notice that I mentioned the company name only two times in this post. Is this more to your liking?0 -
Hi
I signed up to debt fixers earlier this year and although they do charge a fee, I feel I have received very good service so far. They did chase me up a little bit to ask if I wanted to go ahead, since I signed the contract and set up my details they started phoning every couple of months to let me know how everything is going.
I have a landline number which rings straight through to my personal advisor who I can speak to at any time (when she's in) and I do seem to be clearing my debts now. They send statements every month showing what is left on each one. They were also successful in freezing all interest (of my £13k debt)
I have since learned about CCCS through this forum, and may consider that in the future, however I am hesitant to change due to the experience I have had so far.

can someone click the spam button to get these removedIt is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0
