Appologies if this has been posted but before I forget have just peeked on the grabbit board and many thanks to loopy_lass for posting that Asda have rolled back Stardrops to 40p. Whew have now settled down with a cup of tea and a slice of homemade French fancy [that gooey sticky sickly fondant ice/buttercream covered sponge that is sooooooooooooo moorish] will now catch up on all your posts. Love and hugs nannaC

I was about to post this, unfortunately I had the last bottle off the shelf in the Gloucester store today, someone checked out back and told me they didn't have any more (wanted one for my dsis). :(
... don't throw the string away. You always need string! :D

We went whoopsie hunting yesterday and did most of her week's shopping for next week! She was amazed at the amount you can save, and how easy it is to grab stuff for meals - tackling proper meal planning later on today! Yesterday we made eggy bread for brekkie, pork rolls for lunch (used a v cheap pork hock) and rolls were hm, D&DD's iced buns (yet more converts!), twinks hobnobs, pineapple upside down cake, chicken new yorker, roast potatoes, and we put beef casserole in the sc for tonight's dinner, and made the dough for pizzas for lunch today!quote]

Mummysaver What a fantastic feast, NannaC is right now trying to talk Grumpy into relocating to Somerset, so I can to be a surrogate Nanna to your family.

Yep Grumpy has just interupted my catching up with posts to announce that it has just been on telly, and do we have a Netto near us. Ohhhhhhhh men they look with their voices not eyes, yes it is in the same place that he pointed out at least 10 times in the last month when we go to town and he says oh look over there there's that new Netto we must go in and have a look.

I googled it, here it is :)

Thanks for that. I went to the Telegraph site and put M&S sandwich, and jam sandwich into the search and it didn't come up! Should have tried google instead!

My mum had sugar and condensed milk sandwiches during WWII. Guess we know what Marks's next offering will be!

Oooooh! Come on down, my kids would love a nanna like you! :D

My friend's gone back today, loaded up with shopping, notes and recipes and meal plans! Bless her!

She did make me giggle when she asked if it was okay to freeze leftovers! ;)
