I've got the older 160gb version of these - its big and ugly. I prefer the look of the Toshiba which is more stylish, available from PC World in the sale for 114 pounds

Has anyone got any idea of how reliable these drives are? The price is definately very good seeing as a 300GB Lacie drive from eBuyer is around £135 + P&P (although this is a very good drive).
  • The Amazon unit looks very cheap compared to the Toshiba one. I have both, and the Toshiba one is a much better unit.

I have one of these caddies from Aldi last year. Because of the heat generated by the drive I'd not recommend it - you need a caddy with a fan on it for extended use.
