If you purchase a Toshiba XDE500 DVD player right now you get a years free subscription to Lovefilm. This entitles you to 4 free DVD rentals a month for a year on their £7.99 tariff saving you £95.88.
The DVD player costs £120 or less if bought online and is claimed to be the next best thing to Blueray with special circuitry to enhance standard DVD's to 'near' HD quality. it needs to be connected to your TV via an HDMI cable which is supplied.
Its a quality looking machine that will only cost you £24 or less if you take up the offer, but remember to cancel it after year one!

How does this work please? How do you actually claim the offer - is there a leaflet or something enclosed with the item? Surely you can't just ring and tell them you've bought one...?I don't think I can hang on til Friday...0

The DVD player comes with all the necessary paperwork with which you send your receipt and after about a week your account is activated.0

Do you know if the paperwork comes with it, wherever you buy it from? Also, a bit worried about sending off the receipt, what happens to your guarantee then? Sorry to sound negative, but I'm thinking about getting a new DVD player and just want to make doubly sure that it'll be worth getting this one!I don't think I can hang on til Friday...0

You send the paperwork registered mail ensuring you keep a copy of it, the guy at John Lewis assured me this would suffice as proof of purchase if it went missing. John Lewis also offer a two year guarantee, the Toshiba UK website mentions the promotion so I guess its across the board.0 -
Also applies to some of their laptops as well.0
