Crippling Bank Charges

I am self-employed work with my Husband, considerably in debt to the tune of £27000+ and have got a mortgage too!
We bank with NatWest and have 2 Advantage Gold accounts each of which are in the red but not upto the allowed limit. It is costing us around £70 per month I think in charges, which we cannot afford. How can I get rid of the overdrafts in a SAFE way?
I have just registered to get an Abbey card as they are supposed to be doing SBT, but there was no mention in the application form, so instead I opted to BT a credit card debt.
Our situation is really too complicated to go into right now as it would take forever. But if anyone has got some ideas, I am ready to listen.

You can use an Abbey (MBNA) credit card cheque to pay into your current account. The last time I checked the T&C's the cheques were 0% and treated the same as a BT.
Something to consider perhaps?twizzle36 wrote:Our situation is really too complicated to go into right now as it would take forever.0
