Stakeholder Pension and Employer's Pension?

Hi
About 7 years ago, whilst I was not earning any income, my husband started paying into a stakeholder pension with Norwich Union for me.
Since then I have returned to work and am paying into a pension to which my employer is adding a contribution.
It has just dawned on us that we may not be allowed to pay into a stakeholder pension, with it's tax advantages, whilst getting employer contributions into another pension.
Please could someone advise us?
Many thanks
