Hey,
Im living in a rented house of 3 students, this morning recieved a postcard in the post from the company. The card asks for 'The Occupier' to contact them on the number given, 01482, and to talk to a certain person with a reference number.
I understand that this is a Debt Collection Agency, and none of us in the house owe any debts, so is probably something to do with the previous tenants....or even the landlord.
Thought I'd better check on here about wht to do. I gather I shouldnt phone them or open any kind of communications

Yes, ignore it. I was once chased by this company for someone else's debt (electricity). They were extremely aggressive and unpleasant, and when I eventually contacted them to dispute it they demanded all manner of private information "to enable them to investigate" whether I really owed any money. And the funny thing was, the money was allegedly owed to a company that had not supplied the property in question.0
