Proof of Postage at Post Office

Do you still get the proof of postage pads at the post office now or is it all done on the actual white receipt when you hand over the item for posting?
May have a right few things to post and our post office is so busy would be handier if i could have filled in the addresses etc at home on the cards.......rather than hold up the queue....

I think it must depend on which post office you use, and the system they have.

My small local post office has to write a card out and stamp it, ehile the bigger PO in town has a printed out reciept and just adds the house number and postcode to it, which is alot quicker.

They may let you have some cards to write out in advance, then it would only be a matter of checking they matched the parcels and then stamping them, guess it would depend on if they allowed that, or go to a bigger post office and check if they use the printed out system, which is quicker.

Well, I was at the post office in Belmont road in East Belfast last week and got the paper proof of postage- I asked for some cards and there was no prob:)
