Debenham's Offer - watch out

Having printed off the Debenham's voucher from last week's email, I went off to look for a good winter coat at the Chester shop. I found a couple I liked. However, my favourite was in the Eastex section ( very ageing, I know!) and had a £50 off ticket, so the assistant on that section said I could only have the money off OR the 25%.

Luckily another assistant, on Precis, said she'd honour the voucher, even though her coat had a good sale price, and put it through as 'friends and family'. This meant I had a long, wool coat for £130 less than original price.
It's going to have to last me, though!

This 'friends and family' phrase might be one to try.

How do you get the e mails with the discounts? Do you have to have an account with them?
  • You can sign up to get emails from this site, which lets you know about the good deals. If you go on the shopping and spending page, scroll down and on the left hand side the information about discounts is there. Sorry, someone else can probably describe it better or give you links. This is such a big site I'm still working my way round.
