There is a website called workingmums.co.uk most of the jobs posted are part-time or term time only and many give you the opportunity to work from home, it's worth signing up for I have had several short term telemarketing contracts from it.

Career suicide? Thats only if you have had a 'career', some mothers have jobs, nothing special, just something that brings a bit of cash in, so once they've been with their kids at home whilst they grow up they can get a little local job where the employers look upon motherhood and bringing up children as a job in itself so its not 'suicide'.

And im not sure why you feel the need to patronise me and my one suggestion... because your guess is as good as mine when we are on a forum and we both read the same small piece of info the OP wrote.
