Family Tree Albums?!

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this -
I am planning on making up a family tree album for my daughter for christmas. She is only young but I think it'll be a good keepsake for her.
I am only planning to go as far as great grand parents. I've asked everyone in our immediate family for a photo of them when they were younger (I have ones from now) and was planning of putting them in some kind of photo album but now I've actually given it more thought I've not idea where to start!
Does anyone know if any kind of book with templates exists? Total long shot I know! I've tried looking on amazon and some other sites but most of them seem to be help in tracing family etc.
Thanks in advance!

I'm doing my family tree and to be honest there are so many various options around I gave up in the end and created an album from a decorative ring binder. I filled it with the photographs and as much detail as I could find out.
I have gone back further than grandparents (makes it even more complicated) but I'm sure you could do something like a scrapbook yourself. There are some lovely papers around.
TK Maxx have a super scrapbook for £3.99...........if you look on the 'craft for christmas' thread there are some pictures of it on there.
Someone else might know of some sites with templates on...........can''t think offhand so sorry, can't help with that part.
You could try asking on one of the free sites around - www.familytreeforum.com or www.ancestryaid.co.ukMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

I trace my family history and also do cardmaking and scrapbooking. I think it would look lovely if you bought a scrapbbok and some craft papers and did it like that.
I think there are threads on here about scrapbooking and you can get some fabulous vintage papers and write a little about each photo etc. :T
Scrapbooks usually come in 3 sizes - 6" x 6" 8" x 8" and 12" x 12"

There are some 12x12" scrapbooking papers on this site with a family tree theme... http://www.charmedcardsandcrafts.co.uk/acatalog/Karen_Foster_Paper__3.html
Haven't looked elsewhere to see if the price can be bettered or not but the papers are lovely (I think!). If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
I'm not sure if they still have them but a couple of months ago The Works had a really beautiful family tree photo album thing where you could enter details and photos. I think they went back to the great grandparents but wouldn't swear to it. I can't remember properly as my daughter asked me if I wanted it for Christmas and if so to stop looking at it! I don't know if they still have them but it might be worth a try. I think they were under a tenner (cos my daughter wouldn't be able to afford more than that, she's only 12!)0

That charmed cards site is fantastic for K and company papers too. They are 37 or 38p each. I know she does an ancestry range.0

Thanks so much for your replies.
I did start a scarp book when our daughter was born but never did get past the second page - thats why I was hoping to find some album ready done if that makes sense but then I looked on that site rainmac posted and have found a lovely little kit specially for family trees so might well change my mind!
I will try calling the works to see if they have them in as that sounds ideal if I wimp our of the scrap book route!
Thanks again everyone0 -

Have a look on microsft office templates. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/te...CL100632981033 Put family tree in the search box. There are 2 different family tree books you can download onto your pc and insert photos and all different types of information including military service.0
