Good morning all,
i am trying to sort out my finances but debt coming from everywhere even these i did not know existed.. what a mess.
back in 2005 i was on housing benefit and i recently receive a letter about this. i was not aware about the oustanding debt i though i was all paid off.
however i spoke to someone today and she confirm that my overpayment was 135 and it increase at 279 i was not even aware that housing benefit operate like banks with interest.
anyway i spoke about a repayment plan with the lady and i did not had my account details with me so i got to call her back tomorrow.
my question is i don't mind repaying but is there anything i can do about this knowing is already over 3 year moreover the interest on the debt is it the way they operate:eek: .
you help will be very much appreciated.
thak you

Why did the overpayment happen? Did you not tell them something that affected it, or did they make a mistake? It's very important, because if it's their fault you don't have to pay it back.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
