I have some brilliant news for the new year, I have been talking to my dad over the last few weeks about my debts and he agreed to help me by getting a loan for me in his name a few weeks ago and today he gave me a cheque of £2,500 which will clear all my debts and I'll have a little left over to start off with, But it got better for me as my dad told me that it was actually his money and I wouldnt need to pay any interest which is great :j
So we agreed that I'd pay £120 p/m back to him until its paid off, So the new year looks like its got off to a great start ! Just want to say thanks to everyone for there help and support.. I will definately be using the site still to keep me out of trouble and to help me move on with life in the right direction!
THANK YOU & A HAPPY NEW YEAR

That's great news CM! But just don't do what our son did. His Dad took out a loan on his behalf, to clear his debts - but he got overconfident and was soon back in debt again, because he didn't cut up his credit cards!
Happy New Debt-free Year to you, but be warned and get those scissors out!0 -
That's really nice of your dad. As the other poster said (and don't take offence cos I mean it in a nice way) make sure you don't let him down by running up any more debt (I'm sure you won't!!).
Great start to the New Year!
All the best to you xMortgage-free wannabe!0 -
