Unemployed and they are trying to get me to pay?

Hi please see below my current finacial state. The thing is I have not long finished a contract with a company and now I am unemployed. I dont see employment coming very soon! The money I get from jobseekers allowance is what the LAW says I NEED to live on.
Can these debt collecters really as for a piece of this?
They ask for my income and outgoings on a form. Am I the only unemployed person on their books? I cant see me cutting down on anything ( I aint living in luxury here)/

Hi and welcome to the forum :hello:
Looking at your SOA it's very tight, what I suggest is look at my signature and use the link within it to contact the debt charities listed, see if they can offer any advice.
Good luckClick here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.
All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional0 -
Hi
Well they can't have what you haven't got!
Suggest:
1. keep Student loan deferred
2. Check what schemes your water authority has to help bad debtors (2 lots of water arrears?) - might be worth contacting the CAB - they can also help with the rest
3. Get agreement with TV licencing to avoid fine
4. get agreement with landlord to avoid eviction (if these are rent arrears for your current property)
5. If you need to drop expenditure to afford 3 & 4, you need to be looking at water (they can't cut you off), telephone landline and tobacco as possible areas to squeeze.
6. Visit the Up Your Income Board!0 -
Hi,
I'm 'living' on income support................. (if you can call it living?).
The law says thats all i need to live on..................But the law doesnt take into account that gas and electricity prices have sky rocketed!!)
CAB said i should just make token payments of £1 a month to each of my creditors, as i can't afford anymore.
A £1 postal order actually cost £1.50!
Obviously my creditors arn't happy......and not everyone has accepted the idea of £1............BUT none of them have ever sent it back!!0
