Help with cheap bits for hampers/boxes

I've been looking at all the wonderful gift boxes/ hampers on here and decided tto do my own this year - so far I'm really enjoying finding things to go in them all - just struggling on a couple of things.
Anyone know where I can buy some v.cheap (less than £1 maybe?) mugs/ cups - I can't find nice ones anywhere!!
Also I'm doing a gardening one for my Uncle and everyone's gone and put xmas stuff where the gardening stuff was (Wilko's grrrr) - is anywhere (shop or on web) doing any really cheap garden type stuff?
And (last question!) any ideas for a 15 year old nephew? I'm really stuck on his!!
Thanks

I know M&S have got a 50p mug range in different colours including cream, burgundy red and pale blue. I don't know how much Ikea mugs are?
Some of the garden centres have some nice gift things in at the moment, besides their usual goods. I visited one yesterday that had some nice small enamel buckets for £2/3 that would look lovely for a small gardening hamper filled with seeds etc.
I've just got some novelty things for a 15yo boy from Hawins Bazaar. It's a difficult age when they don't want to be seen as a kid but aren't yet an adult! I also included a bar of Toblerone from a pound shop - most lads love chocolate/sweets at Christmas!

I'm going to get some gardening things for my Dad's birthday but my parents have all the equipment they need and the garden's fully planted. I'm thinking about getting bird roosting pockets similar to these as they love wildlife using the garden (apparently the ideal time to put these out is autumn though):

I have bought some (what I thought were) very nice cheap mugs at QS Extra. They were either £1 or less, and great for my coffee hamper for the Church Christmas fete raffle!

Asda do a variety of mugs for £1 and then some 4 in a box for £3.
Home Bargains do some mugs depending on the time of year.
What about a bird table or a bird feeder? for the gardening gifts or a small water feature?or name a rose after your mum and dads name combined???
15 year old nephew - smellies, ipod voucher, phone voucher, hmv voucher, a tshirt, a funky belt, hair care products ie gel, wax, some nice shampoo in a gift box home made 'cos bought ones are generally aimed at females, a stocking of small gifts?Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?

I got a pack of 4 mugs for £4 a couple of weeks ago at Primark. They were a good size, with 'hot drink' type words written all over them. Perfect for popping in a couple of sachets of hot chocolate and cup a soups and calling them a 'central heating system'... Ideal for pressies in this Scottish winter.
That's why they're all gone, so I can't check the exact wording on them

Try the 99p store, it's surprising what they stock but you do have to strike whilst the iron is hot or miss out on the bargain.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

£1 shop/99p shop for mugs, also Wilkinsons & Woolworths do some nice ones very reasonably.
I think our 99p shop still has some gardening stuff too.0 -
If you have a B&M or Instore near you, they often have mugs for 50p to a pound. Instore also has sets of 4 for around £2. They're also good places to get individual sachets of cocoa, coffee etc. You can jazz up hot chocolate mugs by tying a couple of candy canes to the handle. They made tasty stirrers. Also chocolate dipped plastic spoons to go with coffees.
For your gardener uncle, a lot of shops still have seeds available. You could do some packs of early lettuces, spinach and the like. Also flower seeds are good. A new pair of gardening gloves can usually be found in a pound shop. It's always good to have a couple of pairs of them.
Teenage boys are very difficult. You've gotten some really good ideas already. I know it's not homemade, but a prepaid credit card (check for activation and monthly fees first) are good. That way they can get something they really want.Take the first step.
Even if you cannot see the whole staircase,
Just take the first step.

I bought a couple of nice Xmasy mugs from Poundstretcher/Instore for 59p each. Morrisons had BOGOF on some of their Christmas tableware range, don't know if mugs were included?
For your nephew how about a movie basket/hamper - add a DVD (there have been vouchers on certain Nestle cereals for £1 DVDs from play.com - not sure if offer is still on?); some popcorn - bag or microwave stuff so he can make his own; couple of cans/bottles drink; some sweets... If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0
