Argos voucher loophole (save up to 20%)

Bought a new Wii today with extras for £209 today and did the following:

Purchased a £100 gift card and got a free £10 voucher.
Purchased another £100 gift card and got another £10 voucher.

Then gave the lady back £210 worth of vouchers and was then given another free £10 voucher. In all I saved £30.

Now if you are buying something at just over £100 you could get £20 back.

Catch it quick as its only on till Tuesday.

  • It won't happen everywhere. It's in the T&C's that the free voucher should not given when buying vouchers... just depends on whether the person at the till is aware of it.

In addition... if you return an item you have to return the free voucher or they will deduct the value of the voucher

Oh so negative!!! Its a great find. How many would take a wii back, not many.
If its faulty they will exchange. Thanks op
  • They won't exchange after 30 days, it goes for repair.
Not negative, just telling it like it is. This won't work everywhere and definately not in my store

They will exchange if faulty for 12 months after buying. Fact
  • They won't. FACT.
If it's purchased more than 30 days ago it goes to Nintendo for repair.
And before people get on their high horses and start quoting the SOGA retailers are well within their rights to repair a faulty item.

We aren't allowed to give the free gift card if the person is buying a gift card. A lot of people took advatage of the offer so now it's only if they are actually buying items in the store.
Also if any games console/mobile phone/expensive item is returned to us after 30 days that is faulty we have to send it off. There are a lot of items that get sent off that have been accidentally damaged and if we just offered an exchange then we would be losing a lot of money. If the item has a manufacturing defect it gets replaced or repaired by the company we send it to.
