  • Sorry, skintoooo, wasn't aware you were being made BR by someone else. And my post overlapped with skylight's! I'd wait and see what they say tomorrow if you've been sent nothing.

Hope all goes well for you! CBx;)

    Ahh... I see.... (and remember.....honest I do!!)

In that case, if you have one prepared I would take it with you just in case. But its normally something the OR will deal with at a later date.
  • thanks all

i'll let you know how i get on at court tomorrow
  • hi

i went to court today and am now a bankrupt !!!!

The court process was very informal and not at all stressful so dont worry about visiting the court...I reported to the usher when i arrived and was asked to a have a quick chat with the creditors solicitor.......We went to a small private room where he asked me if i was going to contest the petition i explained that i wasnt so he wished me well and explained what would happen with the judge

I was called through to the judges chambers and invited to sit down by a very friendly female judge she asked if i understood the consequencies of being a bankrupt and the procedues involved,i answered yes..........

i asked a few questions which she answered offering any further help on any of the issues involved with the petition..........

When the judge signed the paperwork she explained that there are lots more people going bankrupt now than in the previous years and was expecting bankruptcies to reach even higher levels.......

she wished me well and shook my hand,so off i went, only 5 mins and very painless

So if u have a court apperance i hope my experience will help u understand the process

    Regards
  • Glad it went well for you, skintoooo. Hope the OR interview is equally painless! Take care, CBx:beer:

Hi skintoooo - glad it went well for you. I didn't realise you were a creditor petition BR either. At least you didn't have to pay for it so you've just saved £500.

You will get your form for your SOA soon so be sure to get some help on here with it.

Welcome to BR and your new debt free life. How do you feel?
