Hello DanielD2008 I`ll assume that your Barclays account has defaulted did you receive a notice of this?
If it has been passed onto mercers (debt collectors? have they purchased the debt or just acting for barclays.
I wouldnt phone them only contact via letter as they could be asking for more than you could afford to pay.
Also depends on how much you owe and more importantly how old the debt is.
And also have you got a settlement lump sum to hand.
Good luck regards M

Mercers are the in house collection agency for Barclays. I guess it depends how bad your situation is whether or not they'll accept an F&F, but generally original creditors wont.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
