WARNING! Got a Kingfisher gift voucher? Spend it Now!
Both Comet and B&Q have said they're no longer accepting the 'Kingfisher' high street gift vouchers, leaving Woolworths as the only place that accepts them. If you have one, go quick, as if Woolies does close all stores this month, your voucher may be worthless, so spend it now (plus Woolies big sale's still on!) Kingfisher vouchers
Due to Woolworths plc recently going into administration, UIA have been notified today (11/12/08) that Kingfisher vouchers are no longer being accepted by Comet and B&Q. As at the time of writing, UIA understand that Woolworths are still accepting the vouchers however we are uncertain for how long this may continue.
As a result, all customers who are responding to any communication or promotions from UIA from today onwards which refer to Kingfisher vouchers will receive an alternative voucher for Marks and Spencer to the same value.
In addition, as a gesture of goodwill, UIA will replace any Kingfisher vouchers that have been issued to customers by UIA since 10th November 2008 subject to the following process:
Please return the Kingfisher vouchers with a letter before 31st January 2009 clearly stating your UIA quote or policy reference number, full name and address to Kingfisher Query, UIA (Insurance) Ltd, FREEPOST SG947, Kings Court, London Road, Stevenage, SG1 2YF.
UIA will then check the serial number of the voucher against our issuing list to validate the date the voucher was issued and where appropriate, re-issue an alternative voucher as soon as possible. We regret that any vouchers received at UIA after the 31st January 2009 will not be replaced.
Due to matters beyond UIA's control customers should expect a 6 week delay in vouchers being issued - please bear with us whilst we resolve this issue. UIA apologise for this inconvenience and to any customers who are left disappointed, however we hope you understand that UIA are doing their utmost to compensate customers where appropriateIf you see someone without a smile give them one of yours,
It wont cost you anything!
