Hi,
My oh and I have made the descision to go br. The thing is we are struggling to get the money together. He is waoring and I am on benefits (Carer for my son). We do not qualify for court fee exemption and can not think of any way to raise the money.
We have already stopped paying our creditors, only paying the csa and ctax bailifs as well as general living costs & rent. We can not miss a rent payment as we are in temp accom waiting to be housed - next apparently. If we are in arrears then we will not get an offer until arears are cleared. My son has a disability and we've had greathelp from his docs,to get us medical points and made a priority that I can't let him down by having rent arrears and staying here longer than we have to.
I had a loan offer, and was thinking of taking enought o pay for br fees. I know from previous posts that or's take a dim view of using existing credit, and that tey can impose a bro/u fortaking out new credit, but i don't know what esle to do?
Family have nothing to lend...
Any advise?

Yes the OR does take a dim view of taking out new credit, regardless of what it is for. Do you have any money unused on a credit card or overdraft as the OR has a habit of turning a blind eye to using this for the fees. If not have you anything you could sell?Dx
PS. I am not sure here but if you are on benefits are sure YOU do not qualify for exemption?DxFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau
