Macdonalds Cinema offer- where can you use vouchers?

Looking at the Macdonalds offer it says you can only use them in certain cinemas, but you don't get to find out which until you go to the website to claim them! (by then you've already forked out £4 for the meal and may not be able to use the voucher!)
Has anyone claimed theirs and found out which cinemas in their local area are accepting them?
Possibly this already has a thread but I couldn't find it by searching for Macdonalds and cinema offer so it may be well hidden!

I had to enter the code on the website before i could find out. you have to enter your postcode and it gives you a list of the closest ones.

I can tell you that Odeon isn't included in the offer, which unfortunately is my local cinema. I e-mailed them and asked.0

The cinemas participating in the McDonalds offer are:
Cinema participation- Q. Which cinemas are participating in this promotion?
- A. There are over 225 cinemas within the UK, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands participating. The Vue, Cineworld, Empire, Reel, Showcase, Hollywood and Merlin chains are participating in the promotion. Selected Independent cinemas are also participating.
- Q. Are West End cinemas participating in the promotion?
- A. Unfortunately no West End cinemas are included in the promotion. In addition, other selected central London locations of the above chains are excluded. The excluded locations from the above chains are as follows:
Cineworld in the West End, Chelsea, Fulham Road, Haymarket and Shaftsbury Avenue, Showcase in Bluewater, Empire in Leicester Square and Vue in the West End In addition to this list, all other West End Cinemas are excluded. However, there are numerous other cinemas included in Central and Greater London and these will be presented as options when you enter your postcode online.

hi all, my dd and her friend went to see High School Musical with one of these vouchers at the REEL cinema and were told they couldny use the promotion for this film does anyone know if they are restricted, thanks xx0

I assume that particular cinema can fill the cinema with full-price paying customers for High School Musical, so they chose not to allow freebies in.
Was your sticker attached to a completed printout voucher?
We watched Quantum of Solace on Saturday night at a 7.30pm screening at Vue in Carlisle - peak time session for adult audience and the cinema was packed. No problem in using McDonalds voucher.
The McDonalds website does say this though:
Q. Can I watch any film with my ticket?
A. Yes you can watch any film at your chosen cinema. Please note that cinema rating regulations apply and you must be old enough to watch the film you choose.
Q. I was turned away from a cinema, what do I do?
A. Please call the Voucher helpline on 0844 3578230 and they will be able to assist you.
Q. My Cinema will not accept the Voucher.
A. Have you affixed the sticker to the voucher? The sticker must be stuck to the voucher for it to be valid.

the cinema in question is an old one that never get full, even for high school musical. i went last week to see another film with dd and there were 9 other people in there. There is a new cinema thats opened about 5 miles away thats state of the art and so has took a lot of custom from this one. i had printed it out and stuck the label on properly but she said no you canrt use it for this film. i had already driven off at rhis point {dd is 14}. so just have to try it when i go.0 -
If you go on www.mcdonalds.co.uk/cinema, at the bottom of the main page click on 'cinema lookup' and you can enter the postcode of your local cinema and it'll tell you if its participating. You can check this without a voucher code.
Also, make sure you ask for the voucher, the last 2 times I went to McDonalds they forgot to give it to me.
Hope this helps0
