Where to sell vinyl records?

Hi

I hope this is the correct forum for this post?

I have been left a large collection of collectable LP's and singles, and I am looking for advice of any shops/record fairs etc that would be interested in purchasing the collection from me?

I have thought of Ebay but would rather sell them direct to a dealer/shop. Does anybody have any links to any dealers/shops that I could contact?

I've got some of the original Beatles singles - though not in fantastic condition and with no sleeves and I don't know whether to try and sell them or not - will people be interested in them even in the 'not 100% brill' condition that they're in?

I am in South Wales, although they could be posted anywhere in the UK.

IMO somebody may buy them off you, but you may not get the top price for the records.

Try google searching for "buy and sell vinyl" but be warned that they will want you to do some work for your money - they want a list of what you've got and the condition it is in.
Also be warned that they may not want what you have (I had some limited edition stuff that they weren't interested in)

You can e-mail your lists to more than one dealer - they gave me a fairly prompt response.

Other than that, take them to car boots or flea markets....

Just out of curiosity what are the records, what condition and where in South Wales are you? Vinyl wont get you much money to be honest. There a few dealers in Cardiff. Di'vinyl on the City / Albany / Richmond / Crwys road intersection are very good. Just around the corner - in the same side street as Tesco - is a smaller dealer as well. On the upper level at Cardiff Central Market is a dealer as well.

Price wise, eBay may be a better bet.

Any mint condition 70's stuff - Neil Young, Pink Floyd AC/DC etc?

I have Dark Side of the Moon, mint and with poster, also mint on vinyl.

If I didnt already have a pretty damn clean copy of DSOTM I would have made you an offer! A good copy will get you around £20 but the rarer copies will go for more than that.
