Hi Sarah. Your list seems to be going down. Well done.

Managed all of yesterday's daily list, though it did take me all night so didn't do anything else. I think it will get easier as I get into more of a routine. On the plus side, I did get up to a clean kitchen this morning (for the first time in what seems like forever) and it feels a lot better than starting the day washing up a pile of dirty dishes :).

    So, today I will
    • Clear one thing a day from said filing trays. Done
    • Do my daily scratch/clicks routine every day. Done
    • Clear out some paperwork at work every day. Done
    • Throw/recycle/donate one thing every day. Done
    • Have something to eat and wash-up before I put the computer on every night. Working late tonight so will eat at work.
    • Do any new things on the day they come in. Done
    Have a good day.

    Hi.

Managed all of yesterday's daily list, but the rest of the list is being pushed to the back of the queue, so must get on with some of it.

    Today I will
    • Clear one thing a day from said filing trays. Done
    • Do my daily scratch/clicks routine every day. Done
    • Clear out some paperwork at work every day. Didn't get time.
    • Throw/recycle/donate one thing every day. Done
    • Have something to eat and wash-up before I put the computer on every night. Done
    • Do any new things on the day they come in. Done
plus I will do (well, start) my ironing. All done

    Have a good day.

Please can I join in too? I am the World's best Procrastinator. I need something to help me get my backside out of my chair and sort our house out! We are on holiday in December and before then I want the house to be decluttered and tidy, Christmas sorted and our bathroom finished. I have also joined the Great Declutter thread to keep me focused on throwing out more than comes into the house everyday.
Our bathroom has had its tiles chipped off it for that past 18 months and because they brought most of the plaster with them, it frightened us and so it's been left in limbo since then! I will try and do something everyday to sort it out.

    This weeks overall aims are;
to get equipment together so that one of us can start on bathroom.
    Sort and file paperwork
Steadily catch up on the washing but we have too many clothes which don't fit into our wardrobes so will be sorting as we go.

    Today's list:
Fax tap receipt to Franke for a replacement part for the 2 year old tap which has snapped (we are turning our kitchen tap on and off with pliers at the moment ). DONE

Finish sorting through the rest of the papers from the big blue bag from the bedroom. Shred the documents with too much personal info on them. DONE

    2 loads washing Done

Clear top of coffee table and mantelpiece in lounge Done

Reconcile accounts - decided this would be better done friday as online bank account won't show any further activity until Monday once friday's transactions are posted.

List 5 items on eBay including the old cafe till currently residing in our lounge. Ran out of time and couldn't list till as I've left the manual at work, I think......

Call Father in Law about plaster mixing tool for bathroom. Done

Hmmm, seems enough to be getting on with today. I'll keep coming back and marking off ones that I complete.
  • Hi benjacksmum. Welcome to getting things done :).

Where is the Great Declutter thread - is it on Old Style?

I didn't have time to put my daily list up this morning, but it's all done, and I've finished my ironing :j.

I don't think I'm going to get all my main list done this week, but at least I'm not getting any further behind (and I will catch up one day, won't I? :rotfl:)

    Hi Polly,

Yes, it's over on old style and people list what's come into the house and what is going out of the house that day with the intention of there being more going out than coming in, I like to think of it as the house 'losing weight'.

I've only really started it for the past two day (been lurking ages) and it's really opened my eyes up to how much carp and clutter we actually have .

Didn't quite finish yesterdays list but pleased with what I did get done as I think if it wasn't for this 'public' list I might not have bothered doing possibly any of it.

Set off early for work today so will no doubt be tired when I get back but here goes:
    • Reconcile all shop, bank and paypal accounts that weren't done yesterday.
    • List 10 things for eBay (making up for the 5 I didn't do yesterday)
    • Clear off the hall table.
    • Send off House Insurance forms Can't do this as I've gone and left the prepaid envelope at work
    • [STRIKE]Post eBay parcel[/STRIKE]
    • Get out various sausages and things from the freezer for tomorrow's BBQ
    • Groom the dog properly (she only got a quick brush yesterday)
    • Clear the floor space in front of the fire in the kitchen.
    • Transfer my long standing listing from Auctiva to Turbolister (not paying an additional fees, eBay is already too greedy)
    • Make a start filing papers that needed to be saved from the big blue bag.
That should keep me busy for today :o

Sarah, I've managed to do my daily list, but haven't done that much off my weekly list.

Some of them were supposed to be done last weekend, so that I'm more organised in the week, but they sort of dragged on - I mean I suppose I can tick off 'buy enough food for the week' as I have actually eaten every day, but then I've had to go shopping for something for tea every night . I only managed to do my ironing because I'd got nothing left to wear! I suppose I can add "work well to deadlines" to my CV :rotfl:.

This week's list looks pretty much the same as last week's:

My list for this week (to be completed by Friday night) is
    • Do my housework. Done
    • Do all my washing. Some
    • Do all my ironing. Didn't do any
    • Finish my marking. Done (for now)
    • Prepare my lesson for Monday. Done
    • Start to enter CPD online. Not yet
    • Go shopping and get enough food for the week. Done
    • Check a cashback site for any freebie offers. No
    • Clear one thing a day from filing trays. Done
    • Catch-up with surveys in my inbox. Done
    • Do surveys as they arrive in my in-box! Done
    • Catch-up with competitions. No
    • Keep up-to-date with competitions. No
    • Clear the piles of empty coke bottles I've saved from work to enter into coke-zone. Nearly there
    • Do my daily scratch/clicks routine every day.
    • Sell something. Again, not done.
    • Buy a father's day card and present. Done
    • Buy friend's birthday card and choccies. Done
    • Tidy handbag. Done
    • Clear out some paperwork at work every day. Done
    • Clear and clean one kitchen cupboard. Nope.
    • Throw/recycle/donate one thing every day. Done.
    • Have something to eat and wash-up before I put the computer on every night. Done.
    • Do any new things on the day they come in. Done.
That's it for this week - lets see how far I get.

Good luck with getting things done.

    Morning

I've made a better start than last week on my overall list. Sarah, I've added 'tidy handbag' after seeing it on your list - currently full of tatty bits of till receipts and vouchers I've been collecting .

I'm starting my daily list again, so today I will
    • Clear one thing a day from filing trays. Done
    • Do my daily scratch/clicks routine every day. Done
    • Clear out some paperwork at work every day. Done
    • Throw/recycle/donate one thing every day. Done
    • Have something to eat and wash-up before I put the computer on every night. Done
    • Do any new things on the day they come in. Done
    • Enter 5 bottles into cokezone. Done
    Have a good day.
