25% off Digital Photo Frames at Argos

Options
I know that this should probably be on the Argos board but not sure how many people check that one...

Argos are doing 25% off digital photo frames... just in time for XMAS. Ends 18th November.

I just reserved myself two of the Sony DPFD70B 7" Black Digital Photo Frame - With 256MB Internal Memory for 75 quid each. These are the high Res 800x480 screens. The cheapest I have seen these is 80quid at amazon but everyone else sells them for 100quid+.

Sony is a good make, but there are a number of 800x600 (i.e. 4:3 aspect ratio) frames around for a fair bit less.

The Sony isnt that good a deal i saw the same one in Sainsburys for £79.99 yesterday, it was there normal price not on special or anything.

Looking at the prices of the other frames they just seem overpriced anyway

Comet are selling a 800x600 7" for £39.99 at the moment, Jessops are selling a 8" one for £54 and it also plays movies

The Comet one is the HITACHI HDC7086 7inch Digital Photoframe. This one seems like a good price but has no internal memory and no remote. Also, I cant find a review of it anywhere. Does anyone out there have this one?

Im not so sure about the quality of the Jessops own brand one. However the the Jessops gets an 8/10 and the Sony an 8.6/10 on Reevoo:

I've been searching too but without success. I can't even find photo frames on the Hitachi website. How did you conclude that it has no internal memory and no remote?

One other 800x600 frame is this one:

I dont think you should worry about internal memory, 256mb is very low, i would guess most people will be using memory cards anyway

If you include the 10 quid gift voucher when buying these two, they work out at 69.99 each... 30% off RRP. Can anyone else find this cheaper?

I picked the last two up at the Lancaster store today but had reserved two at the Nelson store. PM me if you want the Reservation number.

There are 7 inch frames in whsmith for 34.99 but if you use the printable £5 voucher from the other board they are 29.99 each. They come in black silver & white.
