19th Nov - Gran Sugar at Makros "SWEET" Deal

As sugar is a staple food and not many 'staple' foods ever seem to be at a good price, I was just letting people who have a Makro nearby know that from 19th of November and lasting only a fortnight, you can buy 10kg of granulated sugar for £6.50 (zero vat rated). That makes it .65p per kilogram. The nearest tesco gets to that price is .77p per kilogram.
Sugar never goes stale and I know a lot of OS'ers use sugar for puddings, preserves and wine making, etc. (You can turn granulated sugar into caster sugar by beating it in a plastic bag with a rolling pin or putting it into a blender).
I store mine currently in a large plastic container in the loft. I don't have mice but I'm always afraid if I did get one that they would 'eat' through the paper and get to the sugar. HTH!

Hi
Yes that is me. I just wrote it on MSE first and then thought, hey! I bet anyone who reads my blog might want to know as well so I copied and pasted it on!
Bless, I didn't think anyone read my blog anyways....
Thanks Silvercharming for the square foot gardening thumbs up. I still have it but there's just not much going on at the moment so I haven't photographed it lately.
