I need to find cash quick!

Hello people,

I have not long found out that I have to move out of my house and have to find another one.

Now I'm searching for a house, but I need to find some money to raise a deposit. I should be getting the deposit back for this place, but I'll need the new deposit before I get it back.

I'm currently ebaying stuff at the moment, so that's some income. I also have a £500 OD that I'm not using and don't really want to go into it.

I need to find something that will raise more money, that I haven't thought of. I've reduced my monthly outgoings to as little as possible.

Any suggestions?

  • May be a bit late but in the day but I would suggest a car boot tomorrow if weather is fine. You are needing to move so sell anything and everything you can! I'm afraid thats the only way I can think to raise quick cash!

If you posted your outgoings, may be alternatives could be suggested by others on here. Can you get a part time job or anything?
My suggestion and/or advice is my own and it is up to you if you follow it, please check the advice given before acting on it.

Would be good if I had a car!

I also can't work for the next 2 weeks, as I've some unpaid work experience in TV, well job shadowing, which could potentially lead to a job in my chosen career. I guess I could always try weekend work. I'm claiming JSA, but it'll be late cause I can't sign on on the right time and day! eek!

Do you have to move in to a house would a room in a shared house not do for a few weeks I was in one 2years ago it was £45 a week and no bills free inter net ect?
  • If it is only going to be a short amount of time between needing the deposit for the new place, getting back your old deposit and if your O/D is interest free(?!) then you could use that.
If not, then car boots, ebay, offering to help family with jobs?
    Good luck, x

I'm planning on moving into a shared house. although the area I'm going to try to move to costs about £400 a month for a room. My OD is practically maxed out. I have about £50 in savings, some of that is to pay off the OD, some of that is for xmas (train fare mostly). I'm going to sell even more on ebay, stuff that I don't really want to sell, but I could easily buy back later. My family doesn't live anywhere near me in London (apart from my brother, who's in the same situation), so I can't really do any jobs for them.

If worst comes to the worst I may have to go 'muuuuuum...' lol. Although I already owe her money!

£400 a month that's not bad its got to be better than what you are paying now I hope that's all your bills as well good luck with the move.
