How much did you spend? 28/12

Anyone around today? I hope you all had a very enjoyable Christmas. I am in work today, and tomorrow, its actually pretty busy (just on lunch at moment)..

Just had a look around the sales, but its too busy for my liking, so bought one thing & hurried back to work. So today I have spent:

£5.77 on groceries
£2.98 on a cardigan & gift tags in Next (would have been £12.98 but had gift token)

And thats all so far, although may need to buy a few more groceries tonight for tea, as the fridge is empty!! Mum did give me some turkey to bring home, but nothing else, which is good actually, because my diet is starting today, so will be at the gym tonight - oh joy :0)

I have managed to save £2,100 which is excellent, so it will be nice going into the New Year with some money (for a change!!).. Although it still doesnt feel like its "real" money, or that it belongs to me... Oh well.

I hope that there arent too many people with debt hangovers come January :0(

  • Hello!

I am a newbie on these forums (although have been a lurker for nearly a year!!!)

I hope you don't mind me posting on these threads - am hoping these will keep me on straight an narrow whilst I save for my first house!

    Today I spent -

*£28.97 in Next Sale for 3 items, but two are going right back so i will have only spent £4.49
    * A £20 chritsmas pressie (so not technically money) in Lush, where I received a free box of goodies worth £16!!!

So I haven't done too badly I think - am trying to cut down on random spending etc!!!

    Thanks!!!

Spent over £40 at Sainsbury - but that includes an iron for £29.99 that should have been £69.99 and a 2kg bag of finish dishwasher powder that should last for ages.

  • £23.98 on my magazine subscription for the next year but it's a mag I buy every month without fail and would normally cost me £36 for the year so I have saved money really.

Other half bought my lunch today which was nice, otherwise it would have been £3.15 for that.

Havent even left the house today as im resisting the temptation to go to the sales. I know if i go down that i'll spend money on things that quite frankly i don't need, so i havent spent anything today.
