L & G Group Stakeholder Pension Fund Help

I have changed to a new employer October this year. They run a Group Stakeholder scheme which they pay in 8% and I opted for 3% for now.
I have asked to speak to an advisor hooked up with the company, but to date I am still waiting.
As I really did not know what to choose, I opted for the 'default' fund on the paperwork that was given to me when I joined by HR.
Paper work has arrived from L&G today, and it says I am paying in 100% to L&G UK Equity Index L/S. Now I know from my limited knowledge that this is not good.
I have tried to find out what I can on line but seem to be struggling. What are my choices and what would be as adviseable split?
I really would appreciate some guideance here or points in the right direction.

Why do you think that is not good?
It's certainly not what an experienced investor would do but for a simple choice you could do a lot worse. The lifestyling bit is important for a lazy investor. What are my choices and what would be as adviseable split?
