Debt free in Jan 2009

Hi,

I owe £1300ish to a debt collection company, I have been saving £150 a month and will have £1000 in December. If I offer this company £800 to clear the debt as part of a deal to get them off my back, do you think they will take it?

Has anyone else done this and managed to clear their debts?

Thank you

    You can but try
If its with a DCA try offering them 50%, but do it in writing, don't agree to anything on the phone
There are some template leters about offing "Full and Final" settlements
