check the shipping rates first.cheap enough on standard p&p but you take the risk on loss or damage but if you use the dhl option then it is £16.

the games are actually on 1 single cartridge the same as the one you buy form any shop when you buy a game.

  • Not sure that it is actually legal either. When you produce a dvd or card full of emulated files then you still have to pay someone for the rights to put them on said dvd or card.
    Loving the dtd thread. x

I've never used them, but did see their site when I was searching for one yesterday...
Not sure whether it's just my cautious nature, but when I checked 'who is' - there wasn't an awful lot of information about them.
I checked around, and the best deal I could come up with was at GameStation - either a black or white DS Lite. with Brain Training for £99.99
I bought the black one from them - thinking that if anything did go wrong, I could just pop along the high street back to the shop. They also offered me a 2 year insurance for £12.99 - you've got 30 days from purchase to be able to take out the insurance, so plenty time to see if there are any cheaper warranties to be had independently, although £12.99 seemed quite reasonable.
Not sure whether the DS is prone to breaking - but anything that uses touchscreen has got to be sensitive to some degree.
Anyhow - Gamestation seemed to have the best price that I could find.

    hi

do whsmiths sell them, on hotukdeals there is a post about certain whsmiths handing out vouchers for £10.00 off every £30.00 you spend.

    heres the post.

    hope this is ok

I have looked into this and it seems to be illegal as the games on the cartridge can be downloaded and just moved from your pc to the cartridge anything that can be downloaded for free must be in the dodgy category.

The R4 cartridge that they're offering is without doubt a very clever piece of kit, but as bargainboy says, it's definitley not legal to use it for games what with them being copyrighted etc. The cartridge does allow you to play music and videos through your DS however, and as far as I know there's nothing wrong with that. Disregarding the R4+Old DS deal though, the price for just the DS lite seems competitive with normal p&p...

I looked at them too when I was looking and in the end decided I just didn't feel comfortable about them. The huge amount of games on one cartridge wouldn't benefit us as ours is for quite a young child who wouldn't be able to play most of them. And don't they ship from overseas? If so there's a chance of being hit for customs charges. Both Woolworths and Asda are doing a console with a game for £105. We got ours from Argos who are also doing a couple of deals and used a voucher I earned on something else and free delivery. We're getting a couple of used games off ebay.
