Yes one is Lloyds, however as far as I can see the link one is different from the one that I got from CAB.Fran wrote:Who gave you the booklets? The one with the link is not a CAB publication but a Lloyds one. What about the first one?A case of beer has 24 cans. There are 24 hours in a day...............Coincidence?0 -
Following your link takes you to the html version.royboy1 wrote:Below is the link to the Lloyds booklet " Help with Financial Problems" I've not read it yet so can't comment on its contents.
1313 no insult was taken from your comments. I am merely interested to know if you received sound advice on your 2 visits to CAB's?

This link gives you a pdf version.

I did a word count looking for "tsb" it found over 10.
So reading through it I got the impression I am better off with TSB. I wonder if people in debt to TSB would appreciate this booklet??A case of beer has 24 cans. There are 24 hours in a day...............Coincidence?0 -
Have now read the pdf version.
Unequivocally, I would think of it as a Lloyds TSB publication - I could only find one mention of the CAB in it. However, I still cannot see what the problem with the booklet is - does anyone who has read it think any of the advice is bad/poor or incorrect?
I have no inside knowledge of the CAB and can only guess that someone may have taken a decision to stock the leaflet on the basis that the information may be of assistance to their visitors, especially if they have had prior dealings with Lloyds TSB.
In my office, I regularly have brochures and information on display from other organisations than my own if I think these will add vale to clients - why try and reinvent the wheel?
To those who object to organisations such as the CAB receiving funding from the Banks, who on earth do they think should be funding them?Gwlad heb iaith, gwlad heb galon0 -
Absolutely Mark 7799 the question of CAB funding is a much more pressing issue than banks sponsoring basically sound guides to debt.
To 1313 I am delighted you received good advice but can't really see how the Lloyds booklet changes things. Surely the advice followed came from the Advisor not the booklet?0
