Jeepers - I didn't know that about ebay.... the Tesco deals I'd be unlikely to use, so had only ever used them in shopping - thanks, guys. Will be listing, listing, listing from now on...

DO NOT put the serial numbers&codes of the vouchers on ebay, blank them out, some lowlifes steal/copy the codes & use them:mad:  .

Am now v. tempted to use my £10 clubcard vouchers for a cashmere jumper insted of food! also with the £5 off- that means I have £25 off a jumper/cardigan which would be £32!

But I am going to wait for the sale. 50% off in january suits me way better.

And £20 in deals for electrical stuff (like a freeview box I don't have) is better.

    Sorry to waffle!

    It costs 95 p
  • Tescos actually contacted me whilst my vouchers were listed on ebay and asked me to take them off!
£10 clubcard vouchers = £10 off shopping at Tesco

£10 clubcard couchers = £40 off various deals when converted to Tesco deals - holidays, days out etc

£10 clubcard vouchers = approx £20 when flogged on Ebay.

It goes through me to see people hand over the vouchers at the checkout.

Merlin Annual Passes are a good one to save Tesco vouchers for. A whole year of free entry to Thorpe Park, Alton Towers, Legoland, Chessington, Dungeons, London Eye, Tussauds, Sea Life Centres etc.

For newbies, don't despair if you only have £10 in vouchers or so. Get disciplined and save them for up to the 2 years they are valid, just don't forget where you are keeping them. Chances are you'll have enough after one year to get something useful for you, or a pressie for someone.

I hate it when I see someone hand over £25 in Tesco vouchers at the till, I feel like yelling 'that would be £100 in Deals, are you mad?'!

BTW as an alternative to exchanging them for Deals or ebaying them, I think you can still double up on the value on wine purchases online at the moment if you really can't see a Deal that appeals (that always amazes me - there are far far more than just days out on there!).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • I genuinely can't - the kids have left the nest, so no need to go to Alton Towers - the 'essentials' they list are dry cleaning, storage and cinema tickets; we have great holidays/wekend breaks in our little caravan, so none of the travel breaks would be better than what we can do for virtually nothing (our summer hols this year - 5 weeks in France and Spain came to £22 a day, for both of us including the ferry!). There's no value in it if I end up buying something I didn't really want anyway.
