I've found out that you can request as many samples as you like from the John Lewis website, and they're all free!!! Plus, differently from the other sites i had come across, they don't even charge you p&p - i ordered 15, and i could have gone on and on, as there's a lot of choice.

Only downside is they don't stock any rolls below £25/£30, but the ones they do have (not JL's own, but designer ones) are cheaper than on many other sites. Hope this helps somebody else out there.
