Previously I have purchased replacement matresses from Costco's but now they are not stocking them I am looking for some advice on where to buy good quality replacements? Any help welcome. And yes I have been to the local bed shops...... they want more for a mattress than a bed! IKEA was recommended but I could not get any where near my local one today. The sales madness has taken over!

Remember to buy a pocket spring mattress. this means that each spring is independent, rather than them all interconnecting. It will cost a little more, but be well worth the difference."Some say the cup is half empty, while others say it is half full. However, this is skirting around the issue. The real problem is that the cup is too big."0

I seem to think that Ikea mattresses are not the UK standard sizes - it might be worth a phone call to their customer services?

Since when have Costco stopped doing matresses? We purchased 2 for our children in November and are going to purchase another next time we go. The one at Haydock and the one in Manchester were doing them last week.0

Hi beefster,
I'm not sure that I can see where you're coming from when you say that Alison is being agressive, but please remember that if you feel that another members posts are offensive it is better to report to www.abuse@moneysavingexpert.com than discuss it on the boards.

Hi Beefster.
If you know what sort of mattress you want you could do a lot worse than to set up a search on Ebay, as I have noticed in the past there are often quite a few (brand new) mattresses on there - it does seem plausible to me that large stockists would use Ebay to get rid of old stock (and the postage generally seems reasonable).
I promise you I am not selling any mattresses on Ebay myself and neither is anyone else I know!!!Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Beefster, sorry if it sounded as though I was being aggressive, I honestly wasn't. Just returned from our Costco about 10 minutes ago and they have got the matresses on the way out of the store, near the rugs and the tyres.0

Another vote for mattressman. Bought a bed off ebay and needed a king-size mattress. Checked out their prices and they were very competitive. The delivery and service was top-notch too.0

Ta Alison, When I said agressive I had my tongue in my cheek.......
The staff at my local Costco said they had none so maybe the stores are all run a little differant across the country. I will give them a call tomorrow to double check.
I am sure to find one from one of these tips.
Thanks for all the infoI save so I can spend.0
