Removing wax crayon from wood

Options
Hi
I am hoping that one of you lovely people may be able to help. My LO has drawn all over one of his wooden jigsaws with a crayon! Does anyone know how I can go about removing it? Most of the time he is a little :A but give him a crayon and it turns out like this :naughty: !!!

  • Can you place the pieces under a couple of sheets of kitchen roll and iron over with a warm iron to melt the wax? It works with candles so I assume this should also work with crayon?
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

Thats the method i typically use, it warms up the crayon easy enough to remove biggrin.gif
  • I don't know any moneysaving ways, but we used a product specifically for removing candlewax... perhaps something like that would do?

I have no idea if this would work with a wax crayon, but a normal pencil rubber removes wax from the black trim on cars, maybe worth giving it a go.
