£20,000 loan advice?

Long story short, well short as I can anyway.

Due to some bad timing by me, I am getting married, having to renovate my house and buy a new car all in the one year. The total needed is about £40k, but I can save half of that before I need to pay it all out.

Where is the best place to look for a £20k unsecured loan? Our annual net income is about £30k and our mortgage is only about £8k.

Start off looking at the comparison sites to get a feel for rates, e.g. Moneyfacts, Moneysupermarket etc.
