Credit card statement taken in burglary

My house was burgled on Christmas day. Because I was woken up by the burglars - unfortunately not quickly enough to prevent it - I managed to block the cards that were stolen almost immediately. Although my passport and chequebook weren't stolen, they did take a recent credit card statement (I blocked the credit card immediately). What would be the best way to act now? I'm thinking of contacting the credit card company about this, but this wouldn't prevent someone trying to use the statement as proof of address. I've heard about protective registration with CIFAS.
Any advice is very welcome - of course, I did call the police, etc. about the burglary.
