I was hoping that there may be some Nintendogs Experts out there who might be able to offer some tips on unlocking the dogs.

My daughter has the pink Dashound bundle, but really wanted the Chihuahua, so I bought a 'cheat' from play.com called Dog Trainer - but it won't load, error says "Unable to load - check game cart and reboot" :mad:

So, if anyone has used the Dog Trainer successfully, please can you advise if we are doing something wrong. Failing that, if anyone has found a way to unlock the Chihuahua 'quickly' please can you let me know.

what i would like to know is can more than one person play the game ie have their own file, my daughters has created her puppies etc... but one of my boys wants to have a go but daughter is reluctant to let him mess around with her puppies ....can he not have his own file? i think its a bit naff if he can't

my eleven year old Nintendogs owner says only one player can play in the manner you describe.
Both my daughters have one and the interaction between the consoles is great - they can play with each others dogs on 'Barkmode'.

thanks yeah i know about the bark mode but that means i need more than one game i dont want to have to buy another one as i dont think my boys will play on in for long its just a novelty to one of my lads but she dont want him to use her file (brotherly and sisterly love)

if you would like to get the chihuahua find someone else within 30 km of you with a chihuahua on ANY game and then go on bark mode after you have left it will tell you that you have unlocked your chihuahua puppies.
Also earning 20,000 trainer points on the dashund game will get you the chihuahua
i have just unclocked the chinese chrested at 42,000

Finally got Dog Trainer to work - DD got her beloved Chihuahua dog, but found it extremely hard to train. Kept forgetting its name and wouldn't obey commands. Also tried it with the Dalmation pup - same thing. So we assumed that the Dog Trainer was useless.

Then DD managed to reset her Dashound game and swapped with her friend who had the Chihuahua game. Once again though - she found the Chihuahua impossible to train. So she is really fed up now - and wants to swap back.
