Mens Electric Shavers, Which One is Best??

Hi All!

Been looking for a new one - Santa didn't take the hint!!

It'd cost nearly as much as buying a new Philips model, just to replace the cutting blades in my old one - so thought of Philips HQ 8150 around £66 in a few places - supposedly 30-40% off.

What do other boys & girls think is the best one, to choose?

I've NEVER used a wet shaver, so don't intend to start now!!

This is very difficult to know because it's so dependent on the individual's skin.
Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.

I prefer Phillips as well - have had battery problems in the past with the 3 head shavers so have been using the 2 head ones for the past 10 years or so.

Philips for me also. Boots.com have the superb HQ8890 for £120 if you really wanted to splash out or the 7830 for £66.

I know where you can get the HQ8890 for £99.99. If you are interested then list it on https://www.haggle4me.com and I'll tell you where!

    Got the 8150 from Comet.

They have it for £99 - so had them price match & price beat Argos/Boots, so ended up at £63!!!

  • The Philishave 8445 shaver is possibly the worst (and most expensive) shaver I've ever owned.

Currently I use a Philips Coolskin HQ7742 and I love it. Can dry shave, use it in the shower, or use Nivea cartridges (which I tend to do).

Boots frequently do the cartidges on a 3 for 2 and 1 box of 5 cartridges lasts about month (£4.99 normal price when not on offer).
  • I agree.

Philips coolskin (wet use) is great. I paid well over £100 and I saw it in Boots I think before xmas for £60 odd
