Is there any chance someone that bought this camera could post some sample shots?

I was just about buy this camera but decided to Google it first. It led me to hotukdeals website and the general opinion there is it's not even worth £13.50. Many have taken theirs back.

Now I realise it's a "toy" camera, for a child, and I don't expect quality equal to a normal, compact camera. However, I do expect to be able to tell what the pictures are.

I'm sorry I can't say about the quality of the shots as I didn't buy the camera (I'd already bought a different one before I saw this one), but I would say it depends on the age and experience of the child you are buying it for. I work in a nursery school (3-5 year olds) and we have an old camera in our class that doesn't even work (or flash) but the children love playing with it and taking "pretend" photos, even though they can't see the results. If you're buying it for this age group then I wouldn't have thought there would be much of a problem with it, but I guess it depends on the age of the child and how technologically advanced they are!

I've just read the messages on Hotukdeals and it seems like they were all expecting to get a proper digital camera for this price. They're all asking questions like does it take SD cards and commenting on "low light noise" :rotfl:
  • I agree, to many people expect a proper digital camera for this sort of price. we have paid £44 for the fisher price, waterproof camera. It doesnt take great shots but my son ABSOLUTLEY loves it and thinks he is david bailey - likes to copy us when we use our camera.

I would have thought any 3yr old would love this.

I don't know if this helps, but Asda had a Practika digital camera (3 mp I think) for £27 the other day. It has a viewing screen on the back. I'm not sure what the quality will be like, though Practika are a long established budget camera brand. It may be a good compromise between a toy camera and an expensive digital. £27 was the standard price, it wasn't on offer. HTH.

Does the camera have a screen to view the pics?

Yes it does have a screen, it's only a little one though but I'd say it's more than sufficient.

Mine arrived today and I have to say Im pleased with them, compared to the kidtough ones they are smaller however it seems ok and I think my little boy will manage it easier in his small hands.

    Hope this helps
