CSA Payment stopped unnexpectedly

Hiya,
I didn't receive my csa payment this month so gave them a ring whe it got a bit late and then found out it had bounced. Several calls later they then told me my ex was unnemployed for a week and had moved both jobs and homes so without any warning im without my csa payment which is well overdue.

I work full time, get tax credits but seriously need my csa money to help pay to get the kids to school, dinner money and food for them.

Because thats gone im using the money i had for my rent, so now cant pay that but housing benefit say they cant help until I get a letter saying my csa moey has ceased. The CSA say they dont send out letters saying that.

My landlord has told me he wont accept the rent late as it will mean he cant pay his mortgage and now im getting in a complete state.

Can anyone help me?

Call them back, tell them you need a letter detailing what has happened with this months payment. Be polite, ask for a letter to be issued.

If they say no, ask to speak to a supervisor. Explain to the supervisor you need a letter saying what has happened to this months payment. They DON'T need to know why you need the letter, but you can certainly explain if you want. If you get no where, say that you want to make a complaint.

Let us know how you get on.

Put in an amended HB application form anyway ...when I was single my CSA payments were pretty sketchy as my ex's employer likes to hold onto his money occasionally...HB averaged out the payments over a period to compensate - if your CSA payments have stopped you will prob be entitled to more HB once a couple have months have elapsed.

In the meantime maybe a crisis/budgeting loan will help?
