Consumer Rights - Clothing returns question

Options
I bought a dress last year from Monsoon. I had intended to wear it for Christmas dinner but decided not to (long story) so I was going to wear it this year instead.

I just got it out to try it on and the zip is sticky. Now the zip is stuck. I've inspected the item carefully and there's no good reason the zip should be stuck. The fabric isn't caught on it. The dress still has the tags on.

I've had to return two other items to Monsoon in the last 2/3 months because the zips were faulty.

Am I entitled to a refund or will it be down to their discretion?

Had you taken it back within a reasonable time, you would have been entitled to a refund. However, as the item is nearly a year old, it would be at their discretion (unless you can prove that it was faulty when you bought it).
    Gone ... or have I?

Try rubbing a little vaseline where the zip is stuck, it usually comes free with a little effort
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

I was telling someone in work about it and she knows a fantastic seamstress and she's going to ask her to replace the zip for me. Fantastic news and avoids the hassle of trying to return the dress! Thanks for the responses :)
