return to woolworths without a reciept?

Hi all...

Got an expensive gift which needs to be returned but the person who brought it hasnt got the reciept.. will woolworths exchange it anyway? It hasnt got any woolworths logo on it anywhere .. or chad valley which is their own make...

In my experience, Woolworths have only every exchanged or given me vouchers for something that is clearly their own make (ie, Ladybird or Chad Valley). You can try - but I doubt you will have much luck.

Just to update anyone interested, as long as the item scans through the tills woolworths will accept a return. It scanned and i returned it no problem. Thanks bubs x

Glad you got on ok bubbles, i've found Woolies really pedantic about returns, maybe i just pick bad days.....

ooh thanks for this post, i bought my husband a paper shredder from woolies for a stocking filler, and he had already inherited an old one from work. its quite heavy and i dont want to lug it into town to be refused a return, a voucher is fine with me, and it is labelled with woolies all over. (lost the receipt)

Yeah i had the same problem .. was a big item so didnt want to be refused. Feel free to ring them 1st to check but it worked for me so you should be fine Glad to help, so many have helped me on here feels great to return the favour !! x
