Government home buy scheme

Anyone actually manage to get a house on the governments homebuy scheme?
We had applied but were told there was no more money for our area (hence the reason we are now looking at shared equity properties).
Seems a bit of a farce if this is for real. I mean, the Government talked this scheme up like it was as good as sliced bread...yet when you look to try and dare to get on the property ladder in London you are told there isnt anything left in the pot!
Just another example of Government not being able to organise a p1ssup in a brewery or merely Government incompetence!?!?!

These schmes are about making political capital.
Not providing capital to support "key workers".
There will be a few who benefit, but most won't.0
