how can i raise more money each month to try throw at the debts and reduce them. as i think if we don't the only other option is bankruptcy and i would lose everything including my jobs.

Short of getting a part time job, i'm not sure how you can increase your income.
If you are usually getting more than the £600 minimum you stated, this at least reduces the £680 deficit you have each month.
Can you list all your cards (what they are) and the APR's? I think you may want to try to get some 0% cards to try to reduce the interest and if possible the minimum monthly payment amounts. Virgin money are offering 0% for 16 months (min payment £25 from 2nd month) but you may not get this if you already have a MBNA card. Might be an idea to state what cards are yours and which are OH's - he may have a better chance of getting a card with the higher income.
Edit: You can have about 3 credit checks in a 6 month period before your credit score is affected. If you are turned down for a card, don't just keep applying. If you haven't already looked at your credit file, you can do so free at experian (if you cancel within 30 days).
