  • Also, start a spending diary to keep a track of the little daily spends on things such as coffee, sandwiches, newspapers etc, anything you save should be thrown at the M&S debt as that's the one with the highest interest rate.
Once that's paid off you can concentrate on paying off the remainder.

If you continue to pay the minimum on the M&S debt then look at https://www.whatsthecost.com snowball calculator - I've done the calculation below
It'll take you 62 months to clear this and you will pay £504 in interest!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

It's worth looking into! My Dad was going to change suppliers last month so I urged him to join and go through Quidco... he did and got £65 cash back for changing to the same company he had looked at in the first place!

sorry i don't understand, if my current supplier is still cheapest, recon still do it ???? dont understand

also don't really understand cash back / quidco thing .... a couple months ago we took out some car insurance it was the cheapest when you took into consideration the cash back... however i don't think we ever got that csh back back nor can find evidence of it (not mentioned on any of the papers we got from ins co ?????).

thanks, I am throwing everything I can at the M&S bill. I just put the min figure in for the SOA purposes. Am keeping a diary, but sometimes it gets a bit confusing cos DH doesn't always keep receipts and also with DH going to Africa, there were tonnes of things that were bought for that. Anyway, what is done is done ...

It may have been the cheapest supplier a couple of months ago but is it the cheapest now?
I'd keep checking every few months, it sounds like companies may be about to reduce prices fairly soon.
If it is the cheapest then leave it!

    DO join Quidco!
Any online transactions through this site will earn you cash back, sound dodgy but it's great!
I've had nearly £50 back just for buying things that I was going to buy anyway!

    Merry Christmas everyone.

DH got home from visiting his ill father in Africa this morning. I thought the 2 hour journey to Gatwick with 3 children and me and two of the children bogged down with colds / temps was the worst thing that could happen today.

DH borrowed his BIL video camera and when we unpacked his suitcase he realised the camera was not there. Initially thought he had dropped it in his sister's car but she has said it is not there.

No point in going into the rights of putting this type of item in your handluggage as I have already had that out with DH but now we are going to have to replace the camera.

Why of Why ??? and I thought we had already had our three bits of bad things (fridge, boiler, trip ....)
