As a new comer to this I've read the site articles but am slightly confused. I have applied for a MINT card with the intention of placing the card balance into a high interest savings account for the 8 months. What exactly do I do ? Also if I transfer a balance from one of my other credit cards to MINT can I do the same sort of transaction into a savings account? Thanks.

With Mint, They'll give you some credit cheques.

These you can just just write out a cheque (Ideally all of ur credit limit) to urself and pay 'em into ur account etc...

Then what you can do is basically apply for another couple of 0% Balance Transfer cards and then use them and transfer the Mint debt onto them.

So this will then again free up some credit on ur Mint card. Again write urself another credit cheque :)

Don't forget you still have to keep up the min' monthly payments on each card.

However, I would advise you to apply for an Egg card! As you can do all these transfers online :)

    Best of luck
